About our show, Top Secret House Party!
Top Secret House Party! is our debut sketch show celebrating the chaotic joys and fears that accompany being lost in your twenties. With all our friends getting engaged, promoted, pregnant and the odd OBE award, we felt it was time to throw a party in honour of the floundering millennials who haven't yet found their way. Fusing outlandish scenarios, wacky characters and a pinch of satire, we want to take our audience on a thrilling adventure through the world of hen-do nightmares, office party creeps, and misguided kids' entertainers. We are incredibly proud of this special show that we are creating with a stellar team of emerging female creatives and want you to be part of this journey...
LADYLIKES is an exciting new sketch duo brought to you by actor-comedians, Phoebe Batteson-Brown and Miztli Rose. We met in 2017 whilst performing in NewsRevue, the world’s longest running live comedy show. Our passion for character comedy led to us forming LADYLIKES where we interrogate what it means to be a woman today. In May 2018, we were selected to join the prestigious Soho Theatre Young Company (previous alumni have included award winning comedians such as Huge Davis and Olga Koch) where we were mentored by top industry professionals including Alison Thea-Skot, Richard Gadd, Beth Vyse and Lee Griffith.
LADYLIKES may be new, but we are fast making our mark on the comedy scene. In 2019 we became Leicester Square Theatre Sketch Off! semi-finalists, were selected to perform as part of The Soho Theatre's Comedy Project, and were guest stars at The London Short Film Festival comedy screening. We have recently filmed our first collection of sketches with award winning director, Philip Clyde-Smith, which has been widely viewed via online platforms. LADYLIKES are incredibly excited to be taking our debut show to the 2019 Brighton and Edinburgh Festivals. With our innate ability to capture the millennial experience with our immersive style; using the scapegoat generation as material that can be universally engaged with, means we are making a truly special show!

We hope to recoup a percentage of the upfront costs with ticket sales. However, any financial aid we can garner would relieve financial pressure. In addition to working and nurturing this show, we are working full time to support ourselves and cover upfront costs of this show. Whilst we are a new company, we believe in paying everyone involved in our show fairly. We are committed to supporting new talent financially in an industry that frequently requires emerging artists to work for no fee.
