Shannon McKay Farms, Asaasefofoom Kwahu, West Ghana is a community farming initiative that works with local communities providing necessary training and support for locals to cultivate their land and provide much needed resources of income through agriculture and poultry.

We have been working to provide sanitary & safety equipment throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to support local villages in Kwahu West, which is situated in the eastern region of Ghana. Through our work, we have overcome many barriers associated with Covid 19 and with the current situation we are stretched for resources to continue agriculture and poultry production which provides local communities with source of income.

We are now looking to raise £2000 so that we can purchase Poly tanks, pipes & pipe fitting labour, urgent fertiliser and labour costs to continue our production and support of these communities. This will go to support our farming programme based in Kwahu that works with locals within the community which provides them with a sustainable income, which is extremely needed throughout the crisis.

Established in 2017 with the support from Shannon Mckay Farms In Othello Washington, the farms have been providing locals with a steady production of Maize, Tomatoes, Green peppers, animal husbandry and poulty (Chickens, Turkey, Sheep, Goat).
