Kirrie Regeneration Group (KRG) are a community group dedicated to involving residents in Kirriemuir and Dean in promoting all things Kirrie! We provide volunteering opportunities, organise community events and aim to improve the general wellbeing of our community and enjoyment of the area - a group for everyone to get involved.
Peter Panguin is a community project, with the help of local artist Maureen Crosbie who designed Peter children & adults were welcomed along to help bring Maureen’s design to life.

Why we want to Keep Peter
Peter is a symbol of our community working together and will bring visitors to our town. There is evidence that having Peter within the town has increased footfall over the summer. We would hope that people would still come along to see him after the end of the Penguin Trail has
What we need to raise
Peter Panguin is for sale at auction and one of 80 penguins, Maggie’s aim is to raise £540,000 the cost of running the centre for a year. So a specific figure is difficult to guess, we would hope to raise between £10k & £16k.
