KJ Vids wants to produce more videos in 2018

KJ Vids requires finance to expand it's video journalism and production company to build on it's first year of viral success.

We did it!

On 29th Mar 2018 we successfully raised £5,010 of £5,000 target with 9 supporters in 56 days

KJ is an abbreviation for Kinetic Journalism and we are an online explainer journalism media company.  Our content focuses on the ‘How and Why’ as opposed to the ‘Who, What, When, and Where.’ We attempt to get behind the news to give the reader background information about a story to ensure that they are able to properly understand events as they unfold.  In particular, we study the politics of the Middle East and South Asia.

We candidly shepherd audiences through politics, history, science, technology and everything else that matters. We then present this information in short, succinct video articles. Watching one of our videos  will provide you with the key information about the subject matter. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the issue to gain a better understanding of the topic.

In our first 12 months, we have been able to establish a popular and empowering brand identity receiving over 60 million video views on Facebook and have numerous videos that have achieved over a million views demonstrating the popularity of our videos. The initial capital for the first 12 months was entirely self-funded. Sadly, funds are now finished and we now require funds to continue our operation.

We require funds to continue paying for a full-time video editor and have a desire to hugely increase our content. Our vision is to effectively be the "Vox" of the Muslim World providing contemporary explainer journalism using state of the art video editing skills. In order to do this we need funds to hire more video editors, journalists and also sales people to develop revenue streams so that KJ Vids can become self-sustainable in the long term. We want to continue to provide our content for free which is aimed for audiences in the Muslim world, who mostly, do not have the disposable income to pay for content.

The £5,000 target is a small amount towards our costs for the next 6 months that would help us to buy some time to develop self-sustainable funding models.
