Simply Smiley Productions are a team of professional entertainers providing original and interactive events for children.  Simply Smiley is based over the road from our Community Centre and last summer they ran a week of free kids' activities which was very well attended.

This summer we want to make more of an impact and get everyone involved so we are running the activities for two weeks instead of one.  However, we are short of the funding we need to cover the costs for the second week.

Participation in performing arts brings vital confidence, self-esteem and a sense of achievement to young people in our community in south London.  We want to make these free summer holiday activities open to as many young people as possible who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.

All children on Kennington Park Estate live in flats without gardens. This is the perfect opportunity for them to get active and partake in our classes for two weeks, including: Drama, dance, drumming, hula hooping, yoga, arts and crafts and singing.

For most of us the summer holidays are something to look forward to. Unfortunately for a lot of families this isn’t always the case. Away from the stability of school, many parents will struggle to provide a hot meal every day, so when the holidays come it can be a real struggle. For some of these kids a school meal is the only hot meal they’ll eat each day - and six weeks can seem like a very long time. As many as 1 in 8 UK children don't get enough to eat over the school holidays. We will be providing every child with both lunch and a snack each day.

Please help us to do that by donating today.
