We are a small family (and friends) run community project that invite you to our 30 acres of land. You can join us in re-wilding our land, growing a community woodland, wildflower meadows and wildlife corridors.
Since registering in March 19 we have run 7 months of FREE weekly Young Rangers sessions for 5-15yr olds, held a 2night Summer camp, Halloween Scream woodland event and National Tree Planting Week sapling day where we planted over 860 young saplings to begin growing our own Remembrance Wood. The support and interest has been breathtaking, we have been asked to add a peer support group, extend our rangers sessions and have the opportunity to work with a local farming education organisation. We have gained an additional 4 volunteers who support our sessions and help our project while training themselves.
We are now sponsored by both West View Farm Camping & Farm contractors and Razzle Dazzle Jewellery & Watch supplies.
We suffered this winter due to such wet weather and having no indoor space so we are hoping to raise funds to buy a large cabin/container that can be converted (by the West View Farm guys) to a work room for the kids, a chat and cuppa room for our peer support group and a general clubhouse for all our visitors.....
Kids Cabin Fever may seem like a simple project to buy a cabin but the difference this can make to our kids and those who need somewhere to feel safe and supported is beyond words. To be able to offer our services all year round, visitors having a warm dry space to enjoy a cuppa and a chat can make the difference. Being outdoors opens your mind, heart & soul but sometimes maybe just a warm seat, a cuppa, a chat and a view to remember is what our visitors need
This year we will include Equine Assisted Learning to our sessions, incorporating working with our herd on the ground. Bonding with the horses, watching their natural behaviours, learning about daily care. Work with our herd to teach them agility, have competitions and enjoy every second with us.
Thank you for all the support and please come along and see what we do
