The Kent Exiles American Football Club are an amateur sports club based in Chislehurst, Kent - offering the opportunity for all players of any age or ability within the community to enjoy playing one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.
American Football not only helps players to increase their strength and fitness levels, relieve stress and promote a positive mental health state; it also helps instil a great work ethic and sense of teamwork and leadership.
American Football has shown to help reduce stress and can lead to being calmer and less prone to depression or aggressive behaviour. Many people suffering from mental health issues such as depression and anxiety have been known to use exercise to naturally alleviate their symptoms.
American Football is centred around inclusiveness, it is a sport for all players of any shape, size, age, ability or background. The values that it can impart on individuals go far beyond football – they are important in life. A lot of friendships are built on and off the field. Football is a uniting force and allows players to learn some important lessons that they can carry with them for the rest of their life. The club is very close knit and family orientated, with many long-term friendships formed year on year. Relationships have been born, and members can always look to one another for a helping hand, or shoulder to cry upon if required. The club provides members with a real sense of community spirit, something which the Exiles has always prided itself upon. The mantra 'Once an Exile, Always an Exile' is something as a Club we are proud of.
The Kent Exiles are looking to provide fresh new game shirts for the adult team to wear throughout the season. This will ensure that all players are wearing exactly the same kit making the team look crisp and professional. Look good, feel good!
Please help and support the Kent Exiles!
