We're a small but growing brewery, bottle shop, online store and tap room in Melksham. We produce a range of core beers in both cask and bottle, several seasonals, special brews. We have already won a number of awards for our products.
The rewards we are offering in return for your support are far greater than the donation amount! Rewards can be used on Gluten Free Beer Store but only on our beers which are both gluten free and vegan.
Please note: All vouchers once received must be used within 24 months.
We've got some great ideas, some unusual revenue streams and award-winning beers, and we'd love to get our local and national community involved to help us grow and expand in to new territories!
We are specialists in gluten-free beer and, in addition to all our own bottled beers being gluten free, we also hold the largest range of gluten free beers in the UK, which we sell through our succesful online store GlutenFreeBeerStore
Our production capacity in our Melksham brewery was until recently very tiny. Demand had outstripped supply so, in May this year we expanded to six times the original capacity. This allows us to brew 960 litres per brew, up to 3 times per week, and therefore enables us to supply a wider area. It also allows us to keep our beer on the bar of our associated pub, The Vaults, Devizes, where you'll always find two to three of our beers on draught.
One of our most important customers is Pieminister, a large pie company based in Bristol. At the end of 2015 they asked for samples of our gluten-free beer for to help them to develop their gluten-free pies. Following successful trials, these launched recently in selected Waitrose stores across UK. Sainsbury's followed soon after, and then online through Ocado. This has seen an increased demand for our award-winning Savernake Stout, which we are only just keeping up with. We now have interest from other food manufacturers to use our beer in their products. This is an excellent revenue stream, as it is regular and constant, because the product is needed more so than it would be as a guest ale in a pub.
Whilst we have increased our capacity, we need more equipment to improve our processes and efficiency. An automated cask washer, kegging equipment and conditioning tanks would improve capacity further by freeing up fermenters and casks. The majority of funds raised would be used for these improvements, and the rest would go towards improving our tap room experience.
We also have the ambition, the ideas, the designs, and the expertise to execute our plan. Now we are asking for your support to help us to fund this exciting venture!
