Staffie and Stray Rescue was founded on 3rd April 2014 as a result of founder Calli Byrne's passion to save dogs in need. Having had three Staffies ( now four) of her own and learning about the stigma surrounding the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, she soon realised that she had to make a difference.
Staffie and Stray Rescue is a registered charity based in Bournemouth, Dorset, the aim of the rescue is to find permanent, loving homes for dogs in need.
With 80% of all all stray dogs being Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Staffie and Stray Rescue hope to change peoples negative attitudes towards them and encourage more people to rehome the breed.
We rely on public donations to help us to continue the work that we do. With your help, we can keep several dogs safe in foster care until a forever home is found. Our mission and ultimate dream is to build enough funds so that we have the opportunity to buy land and build kennels.
The rescue receives up to 30 phone calls each day with urgent cases of dogs needing new homes, sadly we do not have enough foster space to help them all which is why kennels would enable us to take care of more dogs at a single time.
This is one huge fundraising mission, we are looking to raise around £300,000.
Are you able to contribute to the kennel fund?
