We have been operating in Scunthorpe for 12 years, the business employs 14 Staff ranging from school leavers, Students to mums with children, the pandemic has hit our sector really hard, with us not being able to reopen. with no opening date and funding from the government many places like ours will not survive. Soft Play is a big part of a child’s development, exercise through play, interaction with others their own age, agility and strategising and helping towards reducing child obesity.
Play areas are also a great environment for children with special needs and we have a number of groups that rely on our business, without these facilities many children will not be able to enjoy the interaction and fun these offer.
We understand that COVID-19 has to be controlled and must mean we stay closed, but with furlough ending at the end of October and having to fund 10% then 20% for September and October with no income coming in, it’s looking like many businesses line ours will not survive.
We are looking for funding to keep our play area and our staff alive, money will go for staff wages and for bills like rent and utilities.
