Keeping our Pitches Playable!

Keeping our Pitches Playable!

We want to keep our pitches playable for all our players.

We did it!

On 1st Jul 2017 we successfully raised £1,760 with 73 supporters in 28 days

Broughton Park FC is a Grass Roots Community Rugby Union Club based at Houghend, Chorlton, Manchester.

Since 1882 there has been an established male side but we now have a developing ladies side, as well as a growing youth section including boys and girls from our under 6 development squad through to our under 16, then Colts; all enjoying the game and being part of the Rugby Family environment.

The growth in the game is fantastic but this means we need to do work to keep our pitches playable for all.

The last few seasons have been the wettest on record and has impacted on our playing surfaces. We have also had a number of areas of damage caused by vehicles driving and parking on the pitches.

Thanks to England Rugby and the Natwest Rugbyforce project we had a visit from Keith Kent the head groundsman at Twickenham and we are now need to generate funds to support the recommendations he has given and this is where we need your help please.

You can help in two ways, either by making an individual donation pledge or if you have a business you want to promote you can do this by pledging £300 for one of our stadium pitchside banners for the 2017/18 season.
