Run entirely by volunteers, Food For Nought collects perfectly edible food from local farms and shops. The food is then distributed between community fridges across the city and charities which aim to ease food poverty. As a nation we throw away far too much food and Food For Nought’s core aim is to redistribute the food to where it’s appreciated and needed.
Funding for the van’s running costs and insurance has now ended. We are asking you to spare anything you can to help keep this vital service on the road. The average montary value of a each delivery made is in excess of £100, to those who rely on it as a good source it is invaluable.
