Thank you for taking the time to visit my funding page. This December I overcame significant international competition to be awarded a place on Guildhall's prestigious postgraduate master's course, to continue my studies in classical singing. I am privileged to have been selected out of the hundreds of applicants that applied, however, I am now facing the reality that I need to fund both course fees and my own living expenses in London for the next two years for me to be able to take up the place which I have been offered.
I am making every effort to fund myself as much as I can. I currently have 4 part-time jobs alongside my undergraduate studies; working in a restaurant, as a steward at my university for events and auditions, as an usher at the Royal Opera House, as well as teaching and performing when I can. I believe with these jobs, as well as with a student loan, I will be able to cover my living expenses for next year. However, as I am currently trying to support myself through my final year of undergraduate studies, I am in no place to save towards my £9,920 course fees. In an attempt to cover these fees I am applying to charitable trusts and scholarship funds, as well as holding fundraising concerts and events.
Just a small amount could make the difference between me being able to take up my place on this course at Guilldhall or not. I created this page in the hope people will see how hard working and commited I am to making my career in Opera happen. I am doing everything I can to make sure I do not have to turn down this amazing opportunity which I have worked so hard to achieve. Please visit my website to see videos of my singing and read about what I've been up to. www.kayleighmcevoy.com
As I mentioned, I am organising fundraising concerts to help raise my course fees. The first of which will be held on the 6th April, 12:15pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Chelmsford. If you would like to attend please follow the link below for more information. Tickets are available directly from me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 07732260406.
If you cannot attend the concert but can offer any support or sponsorship I would be immensly grateful.
