We will renovate a double decker bus to create a sleeping space and support area for rough sleepers in Oxfordshire. We will work in conjunction with other successful bus schemes around the UK, as well support services, like alcohol and drug services, to ensure the people can go on to lead successful lives.
We are hoping to have at least 10 beds and a drop in centre on the bus, this will help so many people this Christmas period and for the foreseeable future and beyond.
Our Charity aims are:
- To raise awareness of the public and authorities when dealing with homeless in the United Kingdom with special emphasis on West Oxfordshire
- To lobby for support, and to protest against cuts to resources for the homeless. To act, 'whistlelow' and challenge bad practice where apparent to aid the homeless.
- Direct and support referrals of the homeless to appropriate sources of aid and support, from any appropriate agency including NGO's.
