Salary: £45 - £50k pro rata depending on experience (£36 - £40k based on 30 hours per week)

Location: UK wide, with hubs in Cornwall, Dorset and London

We’re looking for a financial reporting manager who is entrepreneurial, a strong communicator and has proven experience of taking ownership of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting and analysis.

The role is much more than just the nuts and bolts of the numbers though. We need someone who will combine being an approachable, go-to contact for day to day internal enquiries with the ability to closely with our Head of Finance to take our information to the next level, supporting company-wide decision making, looking to the future, making recommendations to streamline our processes and giving back more time to focus on the real value-adding stuff.

Required Competencies

Our expectations of the role and the successful candidate are high. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

•  Experienced accountant qualified by a recognised body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

•  Thorough working knowledge of accounting software e.g. Xero, Float & Syft

•  Ability to lead on complex projects, taking responsibility for successful completion.

•  Experience of working cross-functionally in a small/medium sized organisation.

•  Comfortable working on the front line, adapting to change and creating pragmatic solutions.

•  An entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to adapt to a fast moving environment.

Specific Duties

Ownership of the production of monthly financial statements

Providing information to senior stakeholders

Supporting the accounts assistant to ensure entries are processed correctly

Assisting with budget setting and monitoring variances

Producing accurate SPL and SFP forecasts

Maintaining detailed cash flow forecasts

Leading on processes around streamlining, automation and improvement

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

The following experience is highly desirable for this role:

Demonstrable success in fundraising or crowdfunding

Working in fast-paced start-up / scale-up businesses

Working Pattern

We’re pretty flexible at Crowdfunder and our normal working week is four out of five days or 30 hours. This gives us the time to follow our passions, work on side projects and get the most out of balancing work with life and everything in between.

The salary for this role is £36k - £40k for a 30 hour week (based on a full time salary of £45k - £50k) and we are happy to be flexible around when and where those hours are worked.
