Data & Insights Analyst

Role

Location: Cornwall or Remote (UK)

Closing Date for Applications: 31 May 2022

We love numbers. Particularly when they help us make a difference.

We’re excited to be recruiting for a commercially minded Data & Insights Analyst who’s up for the challenge of turning data from our crowdfunding platform into meaningful strategy-driving recommendations to help us in our ambition to make a difference for society and the world.

This role will sit at the heart of our business, with scope for growth. It represents a great opportunity to influence the way our business makes important decisions through getting ever closer acquainted with the behaviour of our platform users.

Responsibilities:

Our Data and Insights Analyst will work across our commercial, financial, marketing and support teams to help us and our partners to gain insight from our platform and other data sources. They will shine the spotlight on the way our users interact with our platform online, bringing wisdom and clarity to our decision making and helping us to help our project owners raise even more money for their good causes.

Sounding like you?

The role will be responsible for high quality data-driven analysis, using statistical modelling techniques to track and simplify complex data sets into meaningful insights and sharing these with the business users to influence decision making.

This isn’t dry number crunching. We’re looking for a storyteller. A person who loves making the complex simple. Someone who can move from the detail of the data to translate what the numbers are telling us and the people we work with about our business. What are we doing right and crucially, what can we do better.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

There are a number of skills and behaviours we’d expect a great candidate to have:

Attention to detail - the ability to produce accurate reports with the ‘i’s dotted and ‘t’s crossed

Comfortable bringing meaningful order and structure to large sets of data

Strong commercial focus with the ability to translate findings into business language

Self-motivated with experience of leadership roles across cross-functional teams

The ability to communicate complex results and concepts into a language for a variety of audiences

Entrepreneurial flair and comfort working at a fast-pace on the front line

Experience of creating pragmatic solutions in a dynamic environment

The right technical toolkit - in this case we’re looking for Google Suite and Analytics and knowledge and experience of Google Tag Manager, Optimise, Analytics, Tableau, Data Studio or similar BI Tools

In depth knowledge and experience of SQL / MySQL is essential for this role.
