Customer Experience Specialist

Role

30 hours per week over 4 days with potential overtime during busy periods

Up to £21,000 pro rata (£16,800 for 30 hour week), plus benefits including free full membership to CSpace, Newquay

Hybrid working, a mixture of home and regular work in our Newquay office

We’ve got a great role for a detail-oriented problem-solver, who would like to help us in our mission to make crowdfunding community projects as straightforward and enjoyable as possible.

If this could be you, please read on…

We’re looking for people who are naturally strong on personal initiative, pretty unflappable and would enjoy working in a small and motivated team. You’ll have the confidence to be the voice of our customers, not letting go of requests until you’ve made things right, allowing our project owners to get back to their important task of raising money for their communities as quickly as possible.

You’ll have strong written skills (much of the work involves written communication) as well as being comfortable with numbers, so you can unpick any payment queries that arise. You’ll have the ability to spot things that don’t feel right and report them upwards, ensuring that we’re fulfilling our legal responsibilities as a leading crowdfunding and fundraising website.

And as we’re all looking to get better all the time, we’re hoping you’ll also be happy learning new things and going on that journey with us. Someone who will spot easier ways of doing what we do and take the initiative to make that happen for the team. We’ll train you up when you join us, but any experience of using customer relationships management systems in advance would be really helpful.

In return...

This is a great flexible role and we’re really open to discussing how the hours might fit around your other commitments and places you need to be.

We’re happy to consider a mixture of home and office working (and when you see our office, right above Towan Beach in Newquay, you might be tempted to spend longer here) Did we mention, you’ll get free full membership of the co-working space (worth £250 per month) and everything that involves along with the role?

Other great things about working at Crowdfunder include decent holidays (not to mention your birthday off each year), company pension, dog friendly offices, some great leave policies and a discretionary twice-yearly bonus. We’re about as far as you can get from a call centre environment as it’s possible to be - come and visit if you’d like to find out more before you apply.

What we’ll be looking for when we meet you:

Experience in building positive customer relationships

Evidence of ability to work under pressure and in changing circumstances

Proactivity and the ability to take the initiative

Ability to demonstrate where you have identified and improved processes

Creative problem solving skills

Solid communication skills with good understanding of writing and numeracy

Ability to pick out key data from written documents

Confidence in working with IT systems (and/or willingness to learn)
