The primary focus of a Crowdfunding Coach is to help projects to run a successful crowdfunding campaign, and maximise the amount of funding they raise. The coaches also have a key outbound role, contacting potential projects and recruiting partners that in turn deliver projects. The ideal candidate will be confident, personable and motivated by helping people to make their ideas happen.

We're in Scotland helping to make great ideas happen through a combination of expert crowdfunding coaching, events and grants, supported by LEADER. Our expert coaches are on the ground, sharing their crowdfunding expertise and know-how in rural communities across nine LEADER areas. These ares are Forth Valley and Lomond, Fife, Scottish Borders, Rural Perth and Kinross, Tyne Esk, West Lothian, Kelvin Valley and Falkirk, Greater Renfrewshire and Inverclyde and Lanarkshire.
As a member of our Crowdfund Scotland team you will report to into the Head Coaching and Project Innovation for Crowdfunder, based in our HQ in Newquay.
You will be based in Central Scotland and work remotely from home, travelling to meetings, events and our work hub in Falkirk when required. You will responsible for the areas of Falkirk and Kelvin Valley, and Greater Renfrewshire and Inverclyde and will need to be able to travel to rural locations across that patch.
Normal office hours are 9.00am-5.30pm. Please note that this role is full time maternity cover.
Responsibilities and duties
As a member of the Crowdfunder Coaching Team you will play a vital role in success of our customers’ projects. Our Coaches mentor new and existing projects through the crowdfunding process, and will become the primary contact for project owners providing them with advice, guidance and assistance.
Our Coaches work closely with all departments and help to develop campaign strategies that enable our customers to meet and exceed their funding goals. You’ll be key to creating and implement best practices, developing success metrics along the way. Building strong relationships is a vital ingredient to drive repeat customers project/campaigns, while acting as customer advocate and relationship manager internally with Crowdfunder.
There will be times when you need to troubleshoot technical problems and answer support questions for clients. On the flip side you will also get the opportunity to showcase your talents in public, participating and hosting Crowdfunder presentations and events.
You will directly and indirectly be responsible for the following areas:
Reporting all activities of Crowdfund Scotland to Head of Coaching & Project Innovation
Contribute to all Accelerator programmes
Run 5 awareness raising, training or support events across each area each year.
Hold additional drop in sessions, meeting in their specific locations.
Attend monthly team meetings including training sessions.
Manage project activity effectively and accurately within a pipeline management system to maximise all existing and new opportunities.
Meet monthly/quarterly targets.
Identify, potential projects and partners based on Crowdfunder data intelligence.
Attend events and public speaking engagements as needed.

Crowdfunding experience: Ideal candidates will have past experience running a crowdfunding or fundraising campaign.
Education level - degree or higher level qualification preferable - will consider Diploma or NVQ candidates
Experience in coaching, teaching, education or knowledge transfer preferable
Physical abilities - you will be able to travel across Scotland, ideally able to drive a car to more remote locations.
Confident user of software including Mac Apps and Google Chrome.
