Hello and welcome to the world of Charlotte Lowe Jewellery!
I am independent jewellery designer based in Birmingham's Historic Jewellery Quarter in the UK. The jewellery that’s made and designed in my workshop is all about encouraging us all to stop and appreciate the simple moments in life. Working with silver and gold I create distinctive silhouette designs from images and photographs that are etched into the surface of the metal.
It is most rewarding to see the look on my customers faces, to hear the beautiful stories that the collections make them think back to. The main reason I love to create is to bring joy and comfort to their lives. To create precious keepsakes that make you glow from within. I love to add a personalised touch too and often engrave messages, names or initials onto the back of the pieces. I also work with customers photographs to create individual keepsakes that are completely unique to them and their family.
Unfortunately, in life sometimes we don’t realise the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory. In everyday life it is far too easy to become overwhelmed by the 'to dos' and all the trivial things that go wrong day to day. My aim is to draw attention to the simple moments in life and the people that make your life so precious. If I can help just one person each day to find comfort with a piece they can treasure and feel closer to their dearest family and friends, then each hour I spend on growing this business is truly worth it.
I would love to use any funding received to help expand my personalised offering for my customers. I have many exciting ideas that I would love to pursue. As well as developing more precious mementos I would like to see how far I can take my British born business internationally. It is important to me that the jewellery stays handmade within the UK. I owe it to both my ancestors, myself and the British economy. However, I would be thrilled to see more of the collections and personalised pieces exported abroad. I am already lucky enough to have worked beautiful gallery in Shanghai for many years and more recently started to sell the collections to a shop in Los Angeles. To see the collections sold further across the world would be a fantastic achievement for me.
