"Jack Cray brings his gentle humour and intelligence on a dramatic and often misunderstood subject.... I encourage you to 'seize' the opportunity to join him" - Broadway Baby, May 2019.
In May I went to Brighton Fringe Festival with the show, the first stop on my 2019 Fringe trilogy. The atmosphere and audiences were great! Now, the last 2 festivals are nearly here.
My One Man Show gives a humorous insight into what it's like living an Epileptic's life. It's a condition I've had since diagnosis in 2014, and yet there seems to be very little awareness about it, among people who aren't epileptic or have epileptic family members or friends.
For example, over 30,000 people a year in the UK are diagnosed as epileptic - how many do you know?
And how many forms of epilepsy are out there? I think you'll be surprised.
I started developing this show at university, and so far there have been three variations of the show. One of these visited the newly refurbished Teignmouth Pavillions; the others nurtured in the Drama department at the University of Exeter. Now though, after further tweaking they're all being married into one super show!
So, where's your much appreciated, generously given wonga going to go?
By clicking on an amount or typing in your own, you'll be contributing towards:
- Venue fees and insurance
- Marketing and promotional material
- A huge smile on my face and in my heart :)
Whether you know me or not, this show needs to be seen. Conversations around mental wellbeing are rising, and we need to make sure Epilepsy doesn't get left behind. Without you and your generosity, this can't happen!
Thank you! :)
