Jack Leslie should have been England's first black footballer in 1925. Let's build a statue to be proud of. MORE: https://jackleslie.co.uk/

Hello Jack Leslie Statue Supporters

Thank you all so much for being a part of this. You are making this happen. The statue of Jack Leslie will become a reality!

It was fantastic to celebrate on Monday night with Jack's granddaughters who have been brilliant throughout. Do have a watch of the online event we held - watch the video on Facebook.

This is just the start of a journey and we want you to be with us along the way. We'll be quiet for a week or so as we catch up on some much needed sleep in this relaxing, searing heat and then working to build this statue we can be proud of outside Home Park in Plymouth.

There's more on our immediate plans here: https://jackleslie.co.uk/news/we-did-it/

If you have selected a reward then please bear with us and we'll get the prints to you as soon as we can but it may take a few weeks. You can always contact us here or on jacklesliecampaign@gmail.com if you have any questions. Rest assured they will be on their way. And we'll start shouting out on our Facebook Page in the coming days too.

We are so grateful for your contributions and messages. They have lifted our spirits throughout the campaign and we are excited for you to stay with us on this journey, a journey towards a deserving memorial to a true footballing pioneer who should never have been denied his place in history.

Raise a glass to Jack Leslie.

We are.
