Introducing a fire retardant insulation board clip that doubles as a noggin without restricting the air void.
The new insulation retaining clip is the revolutionary way to insulate and erect ceilings in one operation. It was developed out of necessity and patented by a contractor with over 40 years trade experience. It has been endorsed by quantity surveyors, architects and tradesmen. Our problem was that 50-150mm urethane based insulation has to be friction fitted. But friction fit only works until air dries the timber member and releases the board allowing the 25mm air-gap to irritate the slab and cause drywall screw heads to pop. The main objective of our noggin or clip is to ensure that the 25mm air-gap is not blocked.
Accessory - Plasterboard to joist end detail shortfall oversail component
100mm wide and 1100mm long pvc-u self-adhesive strip
This accessory strip allows plasterboard to be joined between spans dispensing with the need to join on a 30mm timber as previously.
When you apply plasterboard to the other side of the 100mm buildup with trusses being so narrow there is a good chance that screws
miss the joist and so this 100mm strip enables you to fix the plasterboard to a shortfall over sail situation without cutting boards. This strip can only be used as part of our grid buildup.
Your pledge will contribute to the tooling costs and secure the first order off the production line, which should be with us in the Spring.
Risks and challenges
The only challenge is raising awareness of our product with limited budget. All costs have been calculated based on the best quote we have received so that we get our tooling and everyone gets their order.
We will have our tooling paid for, some samples to send to retailers and this will make future production runs more affordable.
