Our friend and colleague Tania Hunnam sadly passed away on 21st August 2020.
Tania had been fighting aplastic anemia and PNH since 2006, and more recently had been undergoing treatment for MDS, a serious condition that affects blood cells. Those that knew Tania will remember a strong, funny, and engaging person, that never let her health hold her back.
Tania was part of the railway family for many years, most recently working in the Customer Service Centre as a Lost Property and Passenger Assistance Officer. She is greatly missed by her friends and colleagues at EMR, and leaves behind two beautiful children and a loving family.
We are fundraising to dedicate a tree in memory of Tania, at Heritage Wood near Ashbourne. This is a lasting tribute that can be visited by friends and family, and enjoyed by future generations.
Our fundraising target to sponsor a tree is £225.00, however if we exceed this any further donations will be given to DKMS - a blood cancer charity that was close to Tania's heart.
