After an incredible time at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018, we're thrilled to be bringing In Addition to this summer's Camden Fringe at the Camden People's Theatre. An urgent play with political bite, In Addition realises the very real possibility of life without the NHS for our generation. With a bespoke score by Youtuber and Musician Christopher 'Bing' Bingham, physical theatre and an innovative lighting design, this play is awake to the political and personal fallout of privatised healthcare.
Hailed by Mumble as "the play Britain needs right now" and with ★★★★ from The List, we're so excited to have the opportunity to share this play with new audiences, but we need a little help to get it there! As young theatre makers we're often paying out of our own pockets to see our work come to life, this being a huge barrier for the realising of our work. At Orange Skies we believe no one should be out of pocket for making work, and with your help we'll be able to cover our venue fees for our run at the Camden People's Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe, so we can share this evocative work further than ever before. In sharing In Addition, we hope to share our mutual responsibility to the National Health Service, and our fear for its future.
We at Orange Skies really believe they can. We strive to make theatre and performance work at the forefront of political debate that is fresh, exciting and heartfelt, with a focus on collaboration and creative support. In making work the way we do, we hope to share our ideas, start conversations and be awake to the world we live in now. In bringing In Addition to Camden Fringe 2019 we are striving not only to share this heartfelt piece of performance, but find new ways to reach beyond the theatre space. With this in mind we have a multitude of rewards in thanks for your donations to our cause, such as free downloads of the score to the show and free places on a workshop about how we make our work. Any and every penny counts, so THANK YOU.
