Whilst working in communities families share their despair and how they have struggled to get Mental health support when they have needed it. You would be surprised at how many children, young people and families cannot access support because they do not meet criterias, waiting lists are too long or they cannot afford to pay for the services they need. Sunderland has the highest rate of people in the country with Depression, Suicide rates are climbing. Budgets are being cut in schools and mental health services. The demand forour services is so high that our volunteers are working tiredlessly to meet the demand.Ssince 2016 600 people have accessed 1-1 support and and @3600 children & young people have had access to our services.
Vulnerable individuals and families may find that in that moment they don’t have the right tools, or the knowledge to build the foundations that will make them stronger. Here at I.M.P.A.C.T Northeast we believe in people and we believe people can achieve great things, even when they don’t know how; they just need the right tools that works for them. The team at I.M.P.A.C.T Northeast work hard to support this to happen.
We work hard to lower social barriers and the rising problems in health deprivation. We are not the biggest organisation but we go the extra mile for every person we support.
We believe in people and believe that we can support children here and now to make a difference.
Can you help us make a difference .
About us
Inclusion Mentoring for Parents, Adolescents, Children & Teachers (I.M.P.A.C.T) Northeast is a registered non-profit CIC set up to meet identified gaps in the provision of early intervention, through support for children, young people, families & Teachers.
We are a part of the Miltary Covenant supporting military personnel and their families. Also we are active partners for Sunderland PRIDE Group, providing counsellors, support staff and training for LGBT Communities across Tyne & Wear.
We pride our self on providing bespoke services driven by local and wider community needs and all monies are reinvested into our community projects.
We are raising money to increase support to children and families who have nowhere else to turn. We would also like to develop support groups and a new I.T system to help us grow and move forward, lowering time spent on paperwork increasing face to face time with children & families.
Meet some of our team who worked very hard to become an NCFE accrediated centre.
