Good luck with this great project. I was born in Little Eaton but moved away from Derbyshire in 1947. My mum used to paddle a tin canoe in the Little Eaton branch in the 1920s. I remember it only as being filled in with refuse. It's a joy that some parts of the Derby network are being restored to life.
Can't wait for the dream to become reality with the Draycott stretch of the canal, so much hard work gone into it to get this far. Really hope you raise those last few pounds needed 😀
I like canals. The Derby & Sandiacre Canal would enhance the environment for so many people to enjoy, walkers, cyclists, horse riders, fishermen & boaters. It will make the best weekend touring ring in the country and put Derby on the boaters destination map. The sooner it is back in water the better it will be.
