Well done - happy to support you and looking forward to cruising the canal!
I used to play along the canal in Borrowash as a child, particularly around the Station Road/humpback bridge, top lock area.
Good luck with this great project. I was born in Little Eaton but moved away from Derbyshire in 1947. My mum used to paddle a tin canoe in the Little Eaton branch in the 1920s. I remember it only as being filled in with refuse. It's a joy that some parts of the Derby network are being restored to life.
I want this canal back up and running before I retire so I can enjoy using it
Keep up the good work!
Can't wait for the dream to become reality with the Draycott stretch of the canal, so much hard work gone into it to get this far. Really hope you raise those last few pounds needed 😀
Reinstating Derby canal would be a fantastic boost for the city! Bring it on xx
Great work, keep it up.
On regular visits to my parents I've seen the Sandiacre restorations and like a run past the Borrowash canal lock and the restored bridge, so I definitely want to donate to help see the canal back! Great work...
I hope to see this restored for everyone to enjoy. Good luck with the project.
Derby can only benefit from having a facility that will eventually attract tourists and boost the local economy. Keep up the good work.
We really need our canal back. We can do it !!!
I've been a member for quite a few years (15 I think) but I moved away from the Derby area. So, this is my way of contributing to a great cause.
Keep up the good work!
The restoration of the Derby Canal is very important to me and I believe it will be an important amenity not just for boaters but for the residents of Derby and tourism as a whole.
I like canals. The Derby & Sandiacre Canal would enhance the environment for so many people to enjoy, walkers, cyclists, horse riders, fishermen & boaters. It will make the best weekend touring ring in the country and put Derby on the boaters destination map. The sooner it is back in water the better it will be.
IIam glad to support such a good cause and will look forward to seeing completion in the future.
Looking forward to the day when I have my boat and I can bring it into Derby. Excellent work, keeping going you'll get there!
