I’m currently restoring the prop vampire Norton Commando 850 motorcycle from the 1990 British comedy horror movie I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle to enable me to make appearances at motorcycle and horror movie shows and conventions in aid of blood bikers.
The prop had been forgotten about in the back of a shed for 30 years and during some renovation work the shed was demolished and the prop put to one side to be scrapped. Luckily this was the exact moment I tracked down and approached the owners expressing my desire to restore the prop and ultimately saved it from oblivion.
This is very well made remote controlled full sized movie prop that shows off the quality of prop making available in this country that should be saved for future generations to enjoy and for old bikers to ponder over.
All restoration work will be carried out by specialists British craftsman and specialists with a little help from me, and the original prop builder, Steve Watts, is coming out of retirement specially to remake some of the lost pieces.
I hope you can find the time to help support this cause.
