We loved coming on the very hot open day and were so impressed at your work and the beauty of the garden. There was a man called Mike, who seemed to be a bit of an archangel - I do hope and pray he was able to help with advice and support regarding the watering system. He spoke to us 'out of the blue'...thank you for all your work!
Happy also to be paniculata (or other) 'plant guardian', where growing conditions in mid-Wales are so different from those in a walled garden in an urban setting.
It's a lovely place
a brilliant garden and happy to help
I love this garden and really enjoy visiting whenever I come back to Derby.
Do visit this beautiful, peaceful garden and see for yourself why we need to help sustain this wonderful place.
So glad you are getting coverage on Gardeners World. Well done
We visited the garden last night as part of a Nordic Walk with Coreconcept Mid Derbyshire Nordic Walking and gave us a huge amount of pleasure. It’s only right that we make a donation to keep this amazing place open and to appreciate all the hard work that you do for us to enjoy.

Good luck with your money raising effort
Hydrangea Derby are a great group set up to maintain a wonderful collection in the heart of Darley Park in Derby UK.
Great cause, looking forward to our next visit.
The volunteers all work very hard to make the collection a pleasure to see.
Hope you get your target - it's great that Derby has such a wonderful collection of hydrangeas. All the best!
I visited the Hydrangea collection some time ago and was very impressed. Keep up the good work.
Hey, We're looking forward to seeing the Hydrangea gardens again in their full glory - not to mention enjoying a cuppa and cake at the caff. Keep up the good work. Jen and Dave
Great idea! Hope you reach the £1000.
This project and garden really is a hidden gem and of National importance. Most of the work is undertaken by a few really passionate people who are striving to share their love of Hydrangea with the general public. Keep up the good work. If I lived closer I would certainly volunteer here.
Hi Ali, Here is a little help towards the target.
I obviously biased but I love the idea that hydrangeas have repurposed a Victorian walled garden in the previously heavily industrialised World Heritage corridor of the Derwent Valley and have brought a new and diverse set of visitors to this surprising part of Derby.
