We did it
On 29th August 2018 we successfully raised £1,500 with 34 supporters in 56 days

To fund, for its 10th year, the largest National Collection of amazing Hydrangeas (free access to the public) in the UK.

by Hydrangea Derby in Derby, England, United Kingdom

We loved coming on the very hot open day and were so impressed at your work and the beauty of the garden. There was a man called Mike, who seemed to be a bit of an archangel - I do hope and pray he was able to help with advice and support regarding the watering system. He spoke to us 'out of the blue'...thank you for all your work!
Happy also to be paniculata (or other) 'plant guardian', where growing conditions in mid-Wales are so different from those in a walled garden in an urban setting.
We visited the garden last night as part of a Nordic Walk with Coreconcept Mid Derbyshire Nordic Walking and gave us a huge amount of pleasure. It’s only right that we make a donation to keep this amazing place open and to appreciate all the hard work that you do for us to enjoy. Sam Armstrong, Lead Instructor and owner of Coreconcept. Hey, We're looking forward to seeing the Hydrangea gardens again in their full glory - not to mention enjoying a cuppa and cake at the caff. Keep up the good work. Jen and Dave
This project and garden really is a hidden gem and of National importance. Most of the work is undertaken by a few really passionate people who are striving to share their love of Hydrangea with the general public. Keep up the good work. If I lived closer I would certainly volunteer here.
I obviously biased but I love the idea that hydrangeas have repurposed a Victorian walled garden in the previously heavily industrialised World Heritage corridor of the Derwent Valley and have brought a new and diverse set of visitors to this surprising part of Derby.
