To update our scout hut to make Huthub - an affordable venue other community groups may share. To have a base that we can be proud of.

WOW - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE & SUPPORT FOR HUTHUB

Our hut has a long list of jobs to be done.

In a dream world, rather than updating the toilets, we would replace them.

We have old fashioned heater lights in the main hall.  Whilst they provide a limited amount of heat, it  would be wonderful to get  modern replacements.

A fully fitted wooden floor would be much more practical than replacement second hand carpet or lino.

An alarmed security system would ensure our precious (to us!) equipment is safely stored.

All money donated will be invested into the hut to ensure it is in a safe condition for future generations of scouts.

We are so grateful for your help.

Dawlish Scout Hut has seen better days.

It has provided a home to generations of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from Dawlish and the surrounding areas for many years - and has the scars to prove it.

It is in a fabulous location within Dawlish, South West England, with ample free parking. It is currently used regularly on weekday evenings by the Scout Group, but not on weekends or during the day.  After many years of uncertainty we are excited to have agreed a new 28 year lease which means we are able to look forward to the future.

We have volunteers who can paint the walls, clean the windows, spring clean the store cupboard. Other fund raising initiatives have enabled us to update the electrics. However, after 28 years of scouting fun, we need some cash to sort out the bigger problems.  We must update the disabled access and security, sort out the toilet facilities, improve the kitchen, replace the flooring.

We will then advertise the hut as an affordable venue to community groups within the locality. We would love other community groups to share our wonderful home.
