At my sixteenth birthday party i lost a friend to knife crime. Living in the same area for years after felt like torture, seeing similar faces engaging in the same activity that cost me a friend wasn’t much further than that same feeling. I wanted to create something that lots of people could get involved in, and after seeing streetwear brand generate such success globally, I thought that i could use my street knowledge to my advantage. People don’t always think about how the talents that people from unprivileged backgrounds have because they don’t have the resources to expand their skills - but I made Hustle Harder fashion to prove that:
A) Hustling doesn’t have to be dealing drugs, you can make a living legitimately too.
B) People with less opportunity aren’t less talented than those with more access to opportunities, they often aren’t given the chance to flourish.
