We provide hot meals, a listening ear, help & advice, to people who are suffering in our local community. During the winter months, we provide a cold weather night shelter. This is staffed by out Team HUG, who voluntarily give of their time...
We help lift people who are rough sleeping, off the streets, by helping them to access vital support Services, including medical assistance, counselling and housing.
HUG has delivered life lines throughout the pandemic by delivering food parcels & supporting people through HUG’s website & over the phone.
As we are now seeing people being re-homed in Bexhill, we’ve now rented storage premises, and we’re actively gathering free furniture & delivering it to people who are recovering & in their new addresses, helping them to furnish themselves so that they’re comfortable.
In this way, people become more able to find their feet again, while they recover from homelessness & begin to settle into their new lives. We will continue to support them too, until they are stabilised, happy & their lives are back in order.
HUG is run by Volunteers.
We rely on the kindness of donations & grants.
