I have worked as an actor for many years and hope to continue doing so. Writing is a hobby that I really enjoy. It was brilliant to write and perform my debut play ‘Dream of a King’ last year. I’m excited to live stream this new play. I’ve never live streamed a performance before so I’m looking forward to it.

‘Under Heaven's Eyes - The Systematic Unjustified Killing of Black Lives'
A new 45 Min spoken word solo-play by Christopher Tajah
‘Under Heaven's Eyes - The Systematic Unjustified Killing of Black Lives' is a new 45 Min spoken word solo-performance, written during lockdown by Christopher Tajah
Exploring the systematic killing of Black Lives by Police Officers in the US & UK and the effect on the black community? What did Chauvin’s knee represent, racism, white privilege or basic inhumanity? Has the murder of George Floyd pushed both Countries’ to a tipping point toward successful prosecutions of convicted officers? Will the worldwide outpouring of street protests lead to changes in the law and the addressing of historic societal systemic racial injustices during a time of a flu Pandemic that is killing Black people at a disproportionately higher rate?
Under Heaven’s Eyes, came about to address the questions arising from the death of George Floyd a needless death that shocked the World. It certainly shocked me and dominated my thoughts for weeks after it happened and like many of us, I was left asking how did this happen? Why is this still happening to Black men Black Women and when is it going to stop? I just had to put the thoughts that were swirling around in my head down on paper. Having this happen while the World was in lockdown because of a Pandemic made me reflect even more about life the World and how I fit in it.
