I am married with 4 children, (and grandchildren), I have had MS for 34 years and I am now severely disabled and have to use an electric wheelchair, which I have to stay in all day. I have raise funds for two MS charities for 25 years and have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help others with MS.
I have been told by my Neuro Consultant that I should now slow down and think about me and my family as my MS condition has worsened. I cannot access a camper van so a horsebox would be good, I would be able to access it by the ramps that it would have, many of them have kitchen and sleeping areas. We would remove the horse section area and make this a living area, we have friends and family who would help with this.
My wife and I are not used to asking for help, but now I am getting older and don't know what might happen with my MS, as it is a progressive Neurological decease. Also my wife had a heart attack this year and this was of course very worrying for both of us.
We did recently buy a tent, but after trying it, we found it very difficult to put up and had to call our son to help, so this isn't really an option. It was also very difficult for me to get on to an airbed and to get back into my wheelchair.
We are willing to work on a horse box to make it the way we want it, not to use for horses, this will allow us to go away more and enjoy the life that we have.
We are looking to buy an older one but with a long MOT and service history, that we can convert and "do up", over time.
