As a long term carer for family and friends, I have experienced first hand what impact budgets cuts have had on my family. Isolation, fear and often hunger were common occurrences among many other that I spoke to. Hope Social Care aims to change this in a commercially viable and sustainable way.Through the use of a unique profit redistribution model and market partnerships, Hope Social Care seeks to improve the lives of those who receive care in their own homes. An increasing number of people, facing reducing budgets.
The principle objective is to support the service user to feel more confident, lead a healthier and fuller lifestyle, reduce levels of stress and support integration into the local community. To end fear, isolation and hunger in the elderly communities we touch. This is achieved by redistributing a portion of the profits back to the service user in form of ‘essential product vouchers’ which can then be spent on items such food, clothing, utilities, personal items and transport.
For example*, if care provider A charges £200 for £10 hours of care, Hope Social Care charges the same, provides the same care, but also gives back £30 back to the service user in the form of 'essential product vouchers'.
Hope Social Care will operate as a social enterprise and its guiding principles create a significant impact in a commercially viable way – without the commercial element, Hope Social Care can only provide a short term and limited value proposition for the service user.
