Honoured was launched in the summer of 2017 by a team of single Christians who felt there very little on offer to support and encourage single Christians in the church. Our unique message is one of positivity and hope whilst being real about the struggles and difficulties that sometimes come with being single.
In a world where ‘singleness’ is associated with many different ideas, we believe single Christians have an opportunity to be a distinctive community that displays the glory of God. We want to follow God’s calling without fear, live life to the full, explore romances and dating in a way which honours God and each other and model to the world what it looks like to follow Jesus in the context of fun and friendship.
Over the last few years we've grown in size and reputation - our regular team now includes around 10 volunteers - as well as working with different churches and organisations. We run a blog and are currently launching a podcast which deals with issues relating to being single. We also run events in Manchester, Nottingham and London for single people to come together, network and form new friendship groups and community. Some of our events are for particular groups like single parents or single church leaders
