Every day I walk across the city of London to and from work, morning and night. Mornings are bitter with cold and evenings have become damp.
Everyday without fail I see homeless people lining the streets on my walk from the station to work.
I watch people walk by and the homeless guy does not beg or ask for money, a simple cup from Pret sits in front of him whilst he sits on the concrete floor, wraped in a soaked blanket.
I give whatever I can on the days I have change. I used to think no because my mind set was - drink or drugs, until one day, I gave my jumper to a lovely old guy in shoreditch, the smile on his face and gratitude he showed me changed my mind set on just how greatful someone could be.
So I ask that you join me and give whatever you can, 10p, 20p, 50p or a £1, maybe the change on your desk so that I can pass it on to a charity who can put it to good use, to feed or provide a shower or shelter over the festive period.
A selfless act in an otherwise selfish world.
