The six bells of Holy Trinity Church, Bramley, date back to 1732. They were last recast in 1911. In order to allow them to continue to play an integral role in the community at weddings, national events such as Royal Jubilees, and in calling worshippers to church the bells need to be re-tuned and some mechanical parts renewed. The Church has secured a grant for 50% of the work, which will happen in the last quarter of 2017. Progress is being made towards raising the balance but any help towards raising the remainder will ensure that one of the great features of traditional village life can continue in Bramley for generations to come.
This project has been approved for funding through the Heritage + The Crowd match funding. It will received a top up of 50% towards its fundraising target from Heritage Lottery Fund.
