I started Holmwood Massage in 2012 as a way of balancing being a parent and still having a career.
Following on from my initial qualifications I have further specialised in remedial therapy, sports massage, trigger point therapy and various forms of therapeutic massage.
I have loved building the business and have thrived in supporting my community.
Following on from the government guidelines of non essential contact I have had to temporarily close my business. This as you can imagine has a direct financial implication on my income as I can no longer earn money through my massage therapy business.
There will be many complementary therapists who have had to do the same and take the very difficult decision to cease trading.
I want to raise money for self employed complementary therapists in Dorking and the surrounding areas that will no doubt be struggling or will do in the coming weeks and months.
I would like to be able to gift £250 hardship grants to those in need, this will be on an application basis rather than first come first served.
I hope that this will be a lifeline to other people who like me have had to close their businesses and forgo their income.
