Daxi needs surgery - after three months off and spending all of our insurance money, we need to finance Daxi's operation to pin her leg.

Good news/bad news - Daxi has been off work since March with lameness. After nerve blocks, x rays, ultra sounds, injections and an MRI she was found to have an internal bruise, and given a further three months off. We have no idea as to the cause, but suspect it happened in her paddock when she was playing.

On Wednesday she went for a repeat MRI and instead of getting the good news we had hoped for, Daxi’s leg is showing signs of fracture and needs to be pinned to stabilise it. This will involve surgery and more time for rehabilitation, although the long term prognosis is good.

Onley Equine vets are just wonderful, but unfortunately her insurance only covers the first £5,000 of treatment which is long gone. I am raiding my piggy bank as we speak to find the next £3,000.

I will do anything for my girl, and I know some of you would to. So, whilst I am not asking for donations and I am giving you the opportunity to help me, help her get back to where she needs to be. If you feel you can help us in any way I would be so grateful.

Thank you to those who have already helped us.

In return you will get regular updates (if you want them) and we pledge to do a charity event when we are back up and running.
