Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HHCC have been unable to run as successfully as previous years. Through the summer, the club was only able to play 9 games as opposed to the normal 18 that are scheduled through a season, this has resulted in a financial loss to the club due to lack of participation in the sport and has put a dampener on the 5 year plan for development the club had visions of at the start of 2020. The recent November lockdown has seen the club shut its doors again for 4 weeks, as football took an unwanted break.
The club plans to use the funds raised on improvement of facilities at the ground. We're looking to refurbish the inside of the club house and changing rooms to bring them up to date and benefit both the footballers and the cricketer of the club as well as the social members we have. We're also looking to invest in new nets, a new pitch roller and new scoreboard, with the hope of attracting new players from young to old.
HHCC thanks everyone in advance for their donations and would like to welcome you all down to the Rec for drink or 2 when the weather is slightly nicer and social distancing is no longer a thing.
