To support local schools in Inverclyde by delivering high impact assemblies that foster fun and community.

by Fraser Donaldson in Greenock, Scotland, United Kingdom

Since 2012 Nxt Generation have been working with local schools in the Inverclyde area to deliver Christian Assemblies.

Each week the Nxt Generation Team visit various primary schools to deliver high impact assemblies that assist to deliver Religious Observance in accordance with the Scottish Government proposals and requirements.

Nxt Generation assemblies tend to place a huge focus on musical input and involve a live band leading the school community in singing songs. These moments create a sense of community and family as each pupil and staff member takes part and places a high emphasis on fun.

A further part of the support Nxt Generation offer within schools involves providing equipment and technical support for special school events, shows and assemblies. These opportunities involve members of the Nxt Generation team working alongside pupils and training and mentoring them in the use of technical equipment that increases the skill set of the pupils and benefits the wider school context.

In preparation for the next academic year there is a need to upgrade and replenish equipment and resources that would help to strengthen and maintain a level of excellence in delivery of assemblies as well as the ability to provide wider support that schools require. This would require purchasing new technical and media equipment.
