Help us to help others!

To help renovate our first home to enable us to provide accommodation, independence and respite care to people with learning disabilities.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

After many years of my family working in the care sector, my family and I have managed to secure a mortgage on a property, which unfortunately is in a poor state of repair. The repairs required are in excess of £30000, however, we are working hard to cover as much of this cost as we can through saving hard, working extra hours and budgeting.

We are asking for your help to cover the costs of  essential basic rennovations such as roof repair and damp proofing in order to make the house habitable and to enable us to achieve our dream of welcoming people with learning disabilities into our home. Any amount that you can donate no matter how small will be put to good use as part of the renovation project.

Once the house is ready, we will be able to provide a permanent home to two individuals with learning disabilities through an approved scheme.  This will enable these individuals to learn new skills, gain confidence and independence. It will enable them to forge new friendships and become a wider part of our local community.

Assisting with this project, will also enable us to provide day respite care to families of those with disabilities, something which is desperately needed in our local area. This in turn, will provide a break and support for carers and their families, knowing that their loved ones are being cared for locally.

By donating to our cause you will be assisting us in achieving our dream, assisting those who we will be welcoming into our home, assisting the wider local community and assisting carers and their families. We also pledge that once we have achieved our dream of having a house fit for purpose, we will return your faith in us by donating  to other good causes on this site.

Please donate to our cause and begin the ripple today. We pledge to keep the ripple you create an endless one.
