Congratulations on reaching your target. Wonderful to see from the comments how wide your support is, and that so many have enjoyed the marvellous and rewarding experience of a Silurian survey.

Best of Luck and please keep us informed. We have a base out of Bayhead, Isle of North Uist and often see Minke, Risso Dolphins, Porpoise, Basking Sharks between Monarch Isles, Heisker Rock and in the Minche on East side.

We hope you can carry on with your fantastic projects. The ocean is a very important environment for us all and we should take more care of it.

North shore Iona painting by Ross Ryan

Ross Ryan has generously donated this stunning painting to HWDT. His painting beautifully depicts the North Shore of Iona, a small island in the Inner Hebrides. Ross studied at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen and has spent the last 3 years predominantly painting in the elements, often on the deck of his 1947 wooden fishing boat The Sgrabh. His work can be found in collections worldwide!
