Summer with the Feminist Library

It has been a while. We're sure you have all been wondering what's going on with our move. As frustrating as it might be, we are still ironing out the final details of the lease on the new space, before we can let everyone know when we'll be moving exactly. Watch this space - we will be sure to let all our supporters know as soon as we can!

In the meantime, our events and arts teams' volunteers have been working really hard on keeping our Summer programme as exciting as ever, while the physical Library is closed.

Before the end of this month, we will be back at Tate Exchange - on 29th and 30th June - exploring stories of Greenham, home and migration, as well as with a presentation, stall and pop up exhibition at the Critical Management Studies conference at Open University in Milton Keynes (yes, with the mobile Feminist Library van!). Then, next month we will be contributing to an exhibition exploring themes of feminist and women's work at the Thames-Side Gallery, opening on the 5th July (and the van will be with us there as well!).

Women at Greenham Common Peace Camp - theme explored in our next Tate Exchange event

Last but not at all least, our English language book club is back at the Peckham Pelican for its second installment - also on 5th July, it'll be a busy day for us! This time, we'll be reading Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown, to celebrate Pride month.

For more news and regular updates on Feminist Library events, please subscribe to our newsletter here, if you haven't yet. Please also have a look at our Friends Scheme pages and sign up if you can - it has been set up to help the Library cover its running costs and it is the best way to support the Library on ongoing basis. And don't forget - if you'd like to help us even more with the move, we are always looking for new volunteers! Contact our fabulous volunteer coordinator, Katie,, to find out more.
