UPDATE - WE'VE DONE IT
Thank you so much for your outpouring of love and support!
With the help of your donations and a charity making up the rest, we were able to reduce our target to £1,200!
We will be contributing £500 of our own money towards Celia Hammond Animal Trust (as initially pledged) and all excess will be donated to this amazing charity who helps pets in times of need.
Another HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, reposted, tweeted, facebooked or emailed! Because of you, Linus will be able to get his life-saving surgery!

Our tabby cat Linus Pauling was a very happy cat who loved sitting in sinks, jumping up high and belly cuddles until 10 days ago when he was rushed to the vets because he was crying out in pain. The vets discovered the pain is because was born with a narrow urethra and unless he has life-saving surgery, his kidneys will fail and he will not survive.
Linus is only one year and nine months, he is part of our family and we are desperate to save him. The operation costs £5,000 - we can scrape together £500 of that, but we literally have no more. We have been paying for his care at the hospital with our insurance, but that only has now reached its limit and the company is refusing to pay out anymore.
At the moment he is in hospital with a catheter and tubes coming out of him alongside much older cats, and this surgery would stop the pain he is in and give him many more years to live.
If he were granted the gift of life, he could go on to enjoy lots more time in the sink, cuddles, fridge-jumping and many more Canadian Thanksgivings.
Please help us any way you can and thank you in advance for all your kindness.
