Thank you for visiting my crowd funder page! I am Yazan Abulouz, a 24 year old Palestinian and am looking to raise £15,210 to cover the tuition fees for a one year MSc degree in Finance, Accounting and Management at the University of Bradford.
I am a Palestinian refugee and education is one of the only ways I have of finding and defining my place in the world. In 2017, thanks to support from my family, I graduated from the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh with a degree in accounts. I was so proud and delighted just to be accepted on the MSc at the University of Bradford, one of the top ten universities in the UK for business with great benefits for students.
This course and the opportunities and experiences of studying in the UK means that if, thanks to your support, I am able to raise the funds to attend this course I will be able to not only support my family but also use the knowledge and skills to contribute to and support my country, region and people. The course focuses on approaching accounting and finance from a strategic perspective and also provides exemptions from some Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams.
The cost of the course will be £15,560 and £1,560 for their pre-sessional English course plus £10,000 living costs for the year. My family can support me with visa and travel costs and once I have a tier 4 UK visa I will work to support and sustain myself and have already identified accommodation. I have been awarded a £2,000 scholarship from the University of Bradford but am not eligible, as I had hoped for other scholarships. I cannot access student loans. This leaves with me £15,210 to raise.
Thank you for reading this brief introduction to me and why I need to raise these funds.
Any support you can provide me with would be appreciated, even if it is only to share this link widely on your social media.
