Help Nova Theatre Group with Audio Equipment

Our aim is to provide the cast of Nova Theatre Group with stage mics and audio equipment to help them on their productions

We did it
On 15th August 2018 we successfully raised £4,004 with 3 supporters in 28 days

We now have over 20 cast members and we need to replace our old, broken equipment to be able to give every young person the opportunity to take part in performing arts.

The group was founded in 1975 as  Kexbrough Methodist Youth Theatre and based at Kexbrough Methodist Church. After 40 years and 107 shows at Kexbrough it was decided that the group needed to relocate. The new venue is Darton Darby & Joan Club, Church Street, Darton and as such it now operates under the umbrella of the Darby & Joan Club (Charity No.500543) . Following much deliberation by the group leaders they decided on a new name and brand, Nova Theatre Group (NTG).

Our aim is to produce fantastic musical productions while helping children from 8 -18 to improve their confidence by developing their acting and singing skills.

It is hoped that as NTG grow a wider range of people, young and old, will be encouraged to join and shows will be enjoyed in Darton for many years to come.

This year Nova Theatre Group won the outstanding contribution to arts and culture at the Stars of Darton Awards.

Our next production later in the year will be The Wizard of Oz and it would be fantastic if we could have the new equipment for then.
