The KUTEHJUMBULOU is a registered, non-profit Charity in Bakau and other States of Gambia, is community base and charitable organization registered and incorporated under the company act 2013 at the Ministry of justice as a legal charitable organization.
The community base and charitable organization is working to address pertinent issues affecting the lives of young and needy people through a wide range of socio-economic issues. Equip the youths and needy (School drop outs, out of school youths, orphans etc) and women with vocational skills and other livelihood skills for self-reliance. Children areprovided with food, clothing, toys, bedding, adult clothes, medical equipment like wheelchair to children and adult and educational facilities, for a better future. We have Community Centres, and we support school and local hospital. We have free food and clothing distribution programme on monthly basis provided for around 200 poor children and adults.
From a personal perspective, the person who started this charity up is a lifelong friend of ours and we have regularly provided children’s clothes, books, toys etc to help the charity but the opportunity to support them further from an educational perspective (raising money to help grow this aspect of their work) is limitless. We have been to see them January 2019 as they have recently opened some more community centres to help the local children and seen a huge increase in the adult population also wanting to learn so they can help provide for themselves. It’s really humbling to see how they can gain so much from so little and a few pounds can truly go a great way for this charity.
We want to reach out to many more children with your support. Money donation will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
