Hi, I am Astrid Meadow and 11 years old, living in Guernsey Channel Islands. I love animals and music, I really enjoy getting to know them at my friends' homes, in the local shelters, and wherever I can help. But I realised this year, that because of Covid, a lot of charities were not able to raise funds easily.
Christmas is a time for loving and giving, so with the help of Peter Mitchell at Apocalypse Studios and The School of Popular Music in Guernsey, I have written and recorded two songs, one called 'No Tears at Christmas,' and the other is called 'You're a Ray of Sunshine,' and want to share these to raise funds for Guernsey Animal Aid and the GSPCA in our island. This way they can care for the animals who will not have loving homes this Christmas.
This project of mine has been possible because of my mum, Nana, and Gruffy who have supported me throughout, and I feel truly blessed to have them behind me.
So please guys and girls, if you can spare just your pocket money or a couple of pounds to help me raise funds for animals that are in need of our love and care this winter. These charities would not be able to feed or house the animals that have either been neglected or need to be rehomed due to illness or the loss of a loved one without donations.
Together we can do this, we have stood together in Guernsey throughout this terrible time, and I know that you can help me stand together for animals in Guernsey.
