As she became increasingly ill in recent weeks, and experienced more and more pain, the vet and I decided, just a week ago, that she needed to be released from the impact of very extensive cancer on her once strong and beautiful body.
I am on a low pension, and I am also locked into a debt management plan just now, so I just don't have the additional money - £250 - to cover the costs of helping my dog go to sleep, and for her cremation.
If I was more intelligent I would have, over recent years, saved up enough money to cover these costs, but I am not that bright. It was really important to help her move on to a better place last week, and I will get her ashes back in a few weeks, to, at a later date, rest with my own ashes, and the ashes of my other three very beautiful greyhounds.
I am really worried about finding the money to pay the £250, so could you help me to pay that - the last act of love and responsibility for the most beautiful and loving and affectionate greyhound? If you could help a bit, that would be so helpful.
Thank you on her behalf, and on behalf of the greyhound, her best pal, that she left behind, Sammy.
